“The Great Commission is too big for anyone to accomplish alone and too important not to try to do together.” — Steve Moore
Over the course of our lives, God has instilled in our family a passion for youth ministry and Christian education, and a love for the people and country of Hungary. Within Budapest is a vast community of students of numerous nationalities and backgrounds. Some are at various stages of their walk with Christ, while others have not yet experienced his saving grace. It is our mission and our desire to be used by God to show each of these students the greatness of who He is.
We are serving as long-term missionaries with ABWE, the Association of Baptists for Worldwide Evangelism. ABWE’s vision is to see the Great Commission fulfilled through the multiplication of leaders, churches, and missions movements in all people groups, and we believe there is no better place to begin than with students. By discipling and mentoring students in Budapest, we have the opportunity to see God grow them into leaders who, as they graduate, will spread out across the face of the globe and continue to do God’s Kingdom work.
The following are specific ways we will be serving in Budapest:
- Developing and leading a Gospel-Centered youth ministry as Brian serves as the Youth Pastor of Danube International Church
- Teaching Bible at the International Christian School of Budapest
- Mentoring and discipling individual students through church and school ministry
- Building Gospel-Focused relationships with Hungarians through Bible Study and English teaching
- Supporting and serving alongside our ABWE teammates in Budapest
We cannot do this alone.
Nowhere in Scripture does God call us to serve in isolation. We need partners like you that are invested in what God is doing in the lives of students in Budapest. These partnerships, forged through building relationships, financial support, and mutual prayer are what gets us to Budapest and what keeps us going once we are there. Please pray about how you might partner with us, and let us know!
